Contractors from several states gathered at The Historic Park Inn Hotel on September 18 for a pre-construction meeting as bids were let on the hotel/bank project.

Demolition work to the ceiling of the City National Bank building uncovered the original skylight in what was the board room of the bank, on the south side of the building. The original art glass for the skylight has been found and restored.

These early advertising windows were revealed during recent demolition in the City National Bank building.

Demolition begins in the first floor area of the City National Bank building. The drop-ceiling will be removed and some of the non-original columns taken out.

Crews continue to work on demolition in the Park Inn Hotel. Workers clear debris from ceiling demolition in the west bay area which will be turned into a restaurant for the hotel.

Restoration work begins on the Ladies Parlor balcony. Metal flashing will be replaced with appropriate stone work.

Art glass for the Park Inn Hotel lobby is undergoing restoration this winter.
