Wright on the Park has received the final portion of construction financing from New Markets Tax Credits distributed by Iowa Community Development LC. The announcement came at a press conference on Thursday, September 24 at The Historic Park Inn Hotel in Mason City.
The New Markets Tax Credit program is intended to bring capital to communities and supports activities in eligible communities to help reverse negative economic trends and encourage local investment.
Construction is now moving forward, with bids let on September 18 and bid opening on October 13.

Demolition work to the ceiling of the City National Bank building uncovered the original skylight in what was the board room of the bank, on the south side of the building. The original art glass for the skylight has been found and restored.

Demolition begins in the first floor area of the City National Bank building. The drop-ceiling will be removed and some of the non-original columns taken out.
